Position Overview:
As the Accounting Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the financial modules of our ERP solution. You will work closely with the development team, stakeholders, and clients to ensure the software meets industry standards, including GAAP, AIA compliance, and US tax requirements. You will also manage the integration of key accounting functionalities such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and subcontractor management. Additionally, you will collaborate on UX design and manage project workflows through ticket management systems like Jira or Wrike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership: Lead the development and management of the accounting modules (AP, AR, GL, Subcontractor management) for BLDON ERP.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP principles, AIA 702/703 billing standards, and US tax filing methodologies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, sales, UX/UI design, and customer support teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Market Research: Conduct regular research on accounting trends, competitor products, and customer needs.
- Product Roadmap: Define and manage the product roadmap for accounting modules, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. Prepare user stories, sprint planning and create tasks.
- Lead scrum team for development progress and schedule, issue, and risk management for your product areas.
- UX Design: Collaborate on the design and usability of the product using tools like Figma or Adobe to ensure a seamless user experience. Approve UX Designs and push into development
- Ticket Management: Utilize ticket management systems like Jira or Wrike to manage project tasks and ensure timely delivery.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams and accounting stakeholders.
- Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback to refine the product and improve features.
- Integration: Manage integration with popular accounting systems like QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, and NetSuite.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in ERP and Product Management, preferably within the construction or financial sectors.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, and NetSuite.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP principles, AIA 702/703 billing, US standards, and tax filing methodologies.
- UX Design: Experience with UX design tools such as Figma or Adobe.
- Ticket Management: Experience with ticket management systems like Jira or Wrike.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex product development projects.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with construction ERP systems.
- Familiarity with subcontractor management and project-based accounting.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
