Digital Services Architect/Lead - IT

We have an opportunity for a IBM Digital Services Architect / Lead for one of our client in Bangalore.

Technology Experience:

- Must have delivered at least 7-10 enterprise strength digital applications developed on IBM's industry leading Websphere Commerce and Content platforms.

- Knowledge of IBM's product strategy and partner ecosystem

- Automation - Puppet Certified Professional (PCP) preferred

- Hands-On experience in Java/J2EE and Open Source development tools and technologies

- Knowledge of IBM's platform support for DevOps

- Must have a thorough understanding of IBM's cloud offerings and solutions, including BlueMix, SoftLayer, and PureApplication

Advanced Knowledge of:

IBM Business Process Manager v7.5 & v8.0 (Standard and Advanced)

IBM WebSphere Lombardi edition

WebSphere Application Server (all versions) and Apache or JBoss (Community and RedHat)

WebSphere Process Server (including WebSphere ESB)

WebSphere Portal Server

WebSphere Integration Developer

Web Development: PHP/Perl/AJAX/JavaScript/Jquery/XML

Solaris, Linux, AIX, HP-UX, Windows Server

Messaging: WebSphere MQ

Applications Maintenance: Tivoli or CA Siteminder

Databases: Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MySQL and MS-SQL

Responsibilities:

- Act as the chief architect and technical lead for engagements which are implementing solutions based on IBM's digital and cloud technology platforms

- Serve as the lead SME and provide thought leadership and design inputs for the development of custom applications using IBM's digital and cloud technologies and platforms such as Websphere Commerce, WebSphere Content, BlueMix and SoftLayer. Leverage development frameworks/kits such as BlueMix Garage and BlueMix DevOps for development and act as the arbiter of decisions in specific areas of technology expertise.

- Contribute to the creation of comprehensive digital strategies for enterprises undertaking digital transformation and applications modernization. Go to market jointly with IBM with specific offerings co-developed with that vendor.

- Gain knowledge of the eco-system of 3rd party vendors who have complementary products compatible with IBM's products and applications stack; deliver high quality best of breed digital solutions with IBM technologies as the centerpiece of the architecture

- Promote asset re-use through identification, assessment and enhancement of reusable software artifacts, objects and patterns.

- Participate in milestone reviews, evaluate project performance and suggest course correction and remediation actions as required.

- Integrate appropriate security and access control mechanisms at the application, data and platform levels into the enterprise digital solutions.

- Solicit new ideas and drive innovation in process and solution offerings; contribute to the development of tools, accelerators and solution offerings; assist in pre-sales and go-to-market campaigns/business development initiatives as required.
