Purpose of the role :
- Commercial Digital Product Manager on EIA regional level bringing together the intersecting needs of business, user experience and technology to define, support development and life cycle manage the digital products and capabilities for our Distributor and Customer eCommerce journeys (web and mobile)
- Responsible for developing and implementing eCommerce strategy and the product road map, focused on maximizing business value and optimizing the products and capabilities to achieve both optimal user experience as well as maximizing return on investment
Principal Accountabilities, key activities :
- Defining Best-in-Class end-to-end Distributor and Customer Digital experience, working with global HQ (US), Regional vendors and partners (internal & external)
- Understands organisations business needs, industry-wide development in technologies, user needs and specifically the organisation's (future state) technology stack (focus on Hybris & AEM)
- Support the regional Digital Services Head and regional DS Manager in the EIA region's long term preparations to deliver to and implement the EIA Future State Roadmap
- Work closely with EIA, Regional (India) and global teams on all product development
- EIA Business owner of ecommerce digital products and capabilities. The technology ownership for software, architecture, solution delivery, IT infrastructure rests with IT.
- Serve as digital program support, including planning roadmaps and business case development for product investments
- Work closely with the EIA Digital Services Analysts and IT development teams, supporting project development & implementations
- Define & execute product strategies and create & maintain product roadmaps that maximize revenue growth opportunities, prioritize customer needs, and lead innovation to improve competitive positioning
- Define Digital product development and feature roadmap through translation of business strategies, developing strategic planning and supporting implementation by working with cross-functional teams that include Marketing, Sales, IT, Customer Service, Physical Presence and Finance business areas
- Develop and implement go-to-market plans, working with and supporting digital services manager and delivery teams, in ensuring delivery including prioritisation based on a variety of business, technical, commercial, and customer considerations
- Subject matter expert on ecommerce and digital user experience trends, drive research and evaluate market opportunities and customer/ABO behavior to increase online revenue contribution
- Input to the requirements process, supporting with data, technical and competitor insight, and industry best practice
- Participate in regional and subregional product development and implementation activities
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the globe to understand the local product, regulatory, and competitive environment in order to design this into regional and local requirements.
- Analyze product performance and user feedback, and respond quickly to diagnose and correct any problems
- Independently generate new product ideas, research/ analyze them for feasibility and business impact, and lead implementation of those ideas into products
- Create A/B Tests to continuously improve existing products and features to drive higher conversion or engagement
- Perform analyses and provide interpretation, guidance and strong recommendations to aid decision making and inform business planning.
Key Qualifications required /Prerequisites :
- 5+ years Digital Product Management preferably with B2B and B2C -facing, ecommerce site(s), brand content portals or social media sites. We will look at the right mix of experience in Marketing, Technology and/or Digital Product Development
- Past working experience in a relevant role, with ownership and management of product lifecycle
- Proven Experience bringing an idea from concept to prototype including the ability to document functional requirements, writing user stories and guiding teams to develop IA, wireframes and designs
- Experienced in developing (and delivering to) business cases that clearly describe strategy and tactical objectives to stakeholders and all levels executive leadership to define continual product improvement and describe the impact to business results
- Subject matter expertise and technical understanding of key ecommerce/mcommerce, digital experience technologies and Best in Class user experiences. Keeping up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies and changes is a must.
- Excellent distributor & customer focus; Awareness of User Centered Design methodology, digital behaviors, sourcing of customer insight, and importance of customer testing
- Experienced in defining & supporting delivery of successful website development projects: defining and communicating specifications, managing resources, leading cross-functional teams and managing on-time implementation
- Demonstrated abilities to influence others at all levels of the organisation, develop and maintain cross-functional strong stakeholder relationships, earning high degree of respect and credibility
- Knowledge of design principles and best practices in user experience design, website navigation, information architecture, and traffic acquisition and retention
- Experience in usability labs, or studying user interaction with products, and interpreting site analytics.
- Experience with Agile & Scrum methodologies
- Ideally experience at working with culturally diverse global, regional and market teams in collaboration and partnership
- Proactive change agent who is results-oriented and Team Focused
- Ability to effectively manage multiple activities concurrently
- Excellent Project Management Skills and proven experience with PM methodologies
- Experience with Hybris and Adobe Digital platforms is a strong benefit
- Understanding of technical procedures such as UAT, Deployment, SLA, staging and production systems etc.
- Understanding of basics of HTML, PHP, Java, Flash, HTML5 etc
- Ability to work in a sometimes highly technical environment, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience with and understanding of business and functional requirements including ability to document for technical teams
- Experience in dealing with technical Agencies
- Excellent English language skills
- Excellent communications & presentation skills
- Ability to work with and in different cultural environments
- Some International Travel required
