Job Title: GM Transformation

Function: Supply

Reports To: VP Quality and Supply Transformation

Primary Location: Bangalore

Context/Scope:

The role holder will drive Transformation across the Supply chain to make the function future ready with focus on digitization, data analytics, upskilling, simplification, and systemic waste elimination.

Purpose of Position:

The role holder will also lead strategic initiatives aimed at revolutionizing and optimizing the supply chain processes and systems to adapt to changing market dynamics, improve efficiency, enhance agility, and drive competitive advantage. The Role holder would also need to strengthen the portfolio of partners developing innovative products which can help leapfrog Diageos Digital journey.

Decision Making Authority - Decision Expected:

- Digital Transformation across Supply Chain

- Introduction of Analytical tool

- Supply Strategic Project management.

Financial Accountability (Budget/Revenue) : Own and manage budgeting for Transformation and support market share gains through Digital interventions. Enable positive shifts in the functional KPIs with a good ROI on the solutions to be deployed on the ground.

Market / Function Complexity : India as a market has multiple Route to Markets with 5000+ SKUs. The MAKE landscape is spread across 50 units of OMUs, TMUs, LMUs excluding Franchise. Non Alco Bev setup and suppliers are ~30-40 in number. The supplier landscape is 500 vendor strong across RM and PM. Innovation Renovation Pipeline too is active with a good set of new launches planned for the market. Digital Maturity in the organisation too is at an early stage with a good set of opportunities to Transform. There is an opportunity to develop modules using existing data to provide insights and influence action on the insights.

Leadership Responsibilities :

Identifying Opportunities : Role holder will understand the current Digital interfaces, processes and setup to identify strategic opportunities of systemic improvements. He/ she will be the functional expert and representative working as the bridge between the function, DT and the solution partner. The role holder will also identify the size of the opportunity and create a priority list to extract the maximum value.

Optimizing Processes: By evaluating current supply chain processes and identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, the GM of Supply Chain Transformation leads initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency throughout the supply chain network.

Solution Development and Delivery: Leveraging technology and digital solutions is essential for modernizing and transforming supply chain operations. The role leads the implementation of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and Internet of Things (IoT) to improve visibility, traceability, and decision-making across the supply chain.

Driving Innovation: Innovation is key to staying ahead in the consumer goods industry. The role holder fosters a culture of innovation within the supply chain organization, encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and collaboration to develop novel solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and create value for customers.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Being externally curious the roleholder should have the capability of tapping into an external ecosystem of a partner network. This may involve participating in industry associations, engaging with regulators, and responding to inquiries from stakeholders. Role holder should develop relationship with end users to identify opportunities, deploy co-created solutions and ensure adoption at high levels to maximize the ROI for the company.

Accountabilities:

Area (time spent: total = 100%):

People 20 % - Responsible for capability development of team on new products/ systems and analytics through identification of training needs.

- Drive a performance driven culture in the team and increase Digital quotient of Supply members.

Transformation

80% :

- Driving cross functional projects impacting cost, internal customer SLAs and satisfaction resulting in measurable business impact

- Bring analytics & data governance skills to deliver business insights

- Drive effective governance, tracking, communication, and overall change management to ensure effective execution of projects

- Identify opportunities of process automation to drive productivity and improve business outcomes

- Transform the end to end processes with continuous improvement methodologies

- Act as an internal consultant in process improvement and measurement approaches for support functions

- Train the trainer at specific interventions.

- Collaborate with cross functional teams in identifying and driving transformational projects

Qualifications and Experience Required Qualifications - B.E/B.Tech, MBA preferably from a premier institute

Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing in a FMCG/FMCD organization

- Influencing and leading large scale change management programs

- Ability to visualize and create long term Roadmap for Supply Transformation

- Direct, lead & motivate indirect team members and impart continuous on job training for accomplishing greater

operational effectiveness.

- Foster an environment of learning, excellence and teamwork across the function

- Thought leader with ability to identify transformative opportunities and drive them with passion.

- Ability to Mentor, Guide and Develop right Capabilities in the team

- Excellent change management skills including ability to influence other critical stakeholders

- Deeper understanding and exposure across various facets of supply chain management from source to fulfilment.

- Experience in modern tools and techniques to enhance process efficiency through automation and analytics.

- Is able to manage ambiguity and is capable of operating in a high matrix environment.

- Success Criteria - Deliver the strategic transformation projects with defined outcomes

- Succession Plan Opportunities - This incumbent can be a potential successor for similar or higher roles across Supply Value chain.
