Position Summary :

- The person will be responsible for establishing Shiksha Uday Channel in the assigned geography.

- This role is a critical leadership role in the channel- reporting into National Head- Shiksha Uday Channel. The role involves building up the school channel in the assigned geography/ cluster of cities.

- This will include identifying the business opportunities with schools, getting schools on board as partners, building the relationship with the schools and leading his team- to achieve business targets.

- The incumbent will have a direct team of 4 Manager- School relationships; 1-2 Training Managers and 1 Business development Manager and an overall team of ~ 50 people.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Delivering the pre-defined sales target (Annual premium, number of policies; number of new school relationships, number of presentations/ activities in the school etc.) - within a cost budget

2. Oversee new business development and relationship management- Lead the team of Managers- School relationship, who identify the relevant schools, empanel them;

3. Build and deepen relationships with the schools and develop a long term partnership

4. Sales activity management: Manage the key sales metrics of activation of sales force; consistent lead and activity management; and quality of business written.

5. Sales staff management and development: Will be responsible for coaching and mentoring his staff.

6. Implementation of sales processes: Will ensure that the business processes defined are adhered to;
recruitment and selection process, training processes; sales and performance management processes etc are understood and followed by his staff. Will also provide feedback and help redefine processes where required to keep them relevant and effective in the market place.

7. Branch administration and compliance: Ensure the smooth functioning of the branch operations; adherence to the defined processes and compliance to internal and external regulations. Will ensure that all required management and business controls are in place and effective.

Ideal Profile :

- MBA- from a good Tier 2 institute

- Strong communication skills/ Presentation skills/ Writing skills

- Age- Should be ~30 – 35 years

- Minimum 6- 10 years of relevant sales experience (Preferably from Life Insurance

- Industry background- Broker or Bancasurance channel.) Incumbent should not be from Agency Sales background.

- Should have experience of leading a team of result oriented managers.
