Summary:

The role encompasses overseeing the B2B business for the Cables & Conductors. It involves managing a team of Key Account Managers or Sales Managers and driving sales targets for various cable products, including LT Cables, Control Cables, HT Cables, Solar Cables, Elastomeric cables, and Medium Voltage Covered Conductor. Responsibilities include developing relationships with key influencers and customers, expanding the customer base, ensuring product availability, and achieving P&L targets.

Accountabilities:

- Develop and implement sales strategies and annual operating plans (AOP) in alignment with company guidelines.

- Lead and manage a team of Key Account Managers or Sales Managers, ensuring proper staffing and execution of sales strategies.

- Achieve sales targets by expanding business with existing customers and developing new customer relationships.

- Provide product expertise and support for the covered conductors product line, including influencing technical specifications in tenders and creating demand among utilities.

- Manage relationships with key utilities, government departments, consultants, and other stakeholders to secure brand approvals and influence procurement requirements.

- Oversee sales infrastructure, including forecasting, budgeting, logistics, and inventory management.

- Collaborate with marketing teams to enhance visibility and brand image through exhibitions and marketing campaigns.

- Provide market intelligence, MIS reports, and presentations for management review meetings.

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA).

- Minimum 15-20 years of experience in B2B sales of electrical products, including cables and conductors.

- Experience in managing regional / Pan India sales or technical sales roles.

- Strong technical knowledge of electrical products and experience in establishing or promoting lesser-known brands in the market.

- Familiarity with government tender processes and relationships with key utilities are highly desirable.
