Function Planning Department PPC
Job Purpose:
- As the Head of PPC, you will be responsible for leading the production planning and control function.
- You will oversee the development and execution of production plans, ensuring the efficient utilization of resources, timely delivery of products, and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SAP and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.

Job Responsibilities:
Area of Responsibility Description of Responsibility:
1. Develop and implement production plans and schedules in alignment with demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels.
2. Lead and manage the production planning and control team, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
3. Utilize SAP and MRP systems to perform material planning, production scheduling, and inventory management activities effectively.
4. Conduct MRP runs to generate material requirements, optimize production schedules, and minimize inventory holding costs.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues or bottlenecks.
6. Monitor production performance and key metrics, such as production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
7. Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency enhancement.
8. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce stockouts, and improve inventory turnover rates.
9. Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to production planning and control, and incorporate relevant knowledge into our processes and systems.
10. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and collaboration within the production planning and control function and across the organization.
11. Strong knowledge and experience in SAP and MRP systems, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools for production planning and control activities.
12. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
13. Strong leadership and management abilities, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving results.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
15. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
16. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.

Educational Qualification : B. Tech/MBA-Operations or SCM
Total Experience : More than 15 Years Relevant
