Role: DGM - Innovation & Business Consulting

Profile for DGM, Innovation & Business Consulting:

- As the key member of the innovation & business transformation team, the role involves studying new trends in Information & Communication Technology (ICT), vendor interaction, rapid prototyping and trials. Continuous interaction with target business unit is crucial for incubation, business case preparation and live adoption agreement.

Key responsibilities under Innovation & Transformation role include:

- Scan new technology trends through continuous interaction with thought leaders, consulting firms, vendors and start-ups to understand new technology concepts, applicability for industry verticals within Group and potential business benefits.

- Identify target business units who will benefit from the technology and jointly work to locate potential areas for incubation or early pilots.

- Assess vendor capabilities through interactions, demonstrations, case studies or live adoption examples. Conduct Proof of Concepts to establish the capabilities/ applicability.

- Conduct rapid prototyping/ incubation; obtain consent from business heads for in market trials. Jointly create the business case for adoption of the technology in live environment.

- Assist Head IT, Innovation & Transformation for interactions with business CXOs to gain acceptance for live adoption within businesses with agreement for relevant funding/ budgets.

- Business Consulting is the unique link between business and technology at Company's Group IT. The role demands managing regular relationship with business teams to understand the business needs, sharing new technology concepts and best practices. The function represents voice of customer within Group IT.

The business consulting role involves the following responsibilities for chosen sectors/ units:

- Ensure continuous connect and manage relationships at various levels within the business units. Be the single point of contact for all technology related requirements, understand requirements, create statement of work, define value drivers and ensure scope sign-off & budgets availability.

- Ensure business stakeholder(s) active participation for facilitating and expediting the solution definition and delivery through dialogue between business and Group IT delivery teams.

- Present Group IT capabilities, shared services and proposed technology solutions to business teams to gain acceptance for deployment/ roll outs with budget agreements.

- Ensure compliance to TMW (TQM The Company Way). Maintain required TMW documentation, trend charts and manage continuous quality improvement cycles.

- The incumbent should assist the Head IT, Innovation & Transformation

- For conducting Innovation Forums, Ideation/ brainstorming workshops, Innovation events

- For regular reviews of the function and interaction with business senior management teams.

- To obtain customer feedback and annual CaPs (Customer as Promoter score)

- To formulate Group IT strategy, IT road map for business units, to provide IT advisory.

- Strong business acumen, domain knowledge and customer centricity

- Ability to interact with senior business heads with ability to articulate business value

- Strong Project management skills to facilitate rapid prototyping, testing and in market trials.
