DGM/Head - NPD Tech Services/R&D - FMCG

One of our client into FMCG space (soap contract manufacturing) is looking for DGM/ Head- NPD Technical Services.

Designation: DGM/ Head

Education: Msc/ Phd

Experience: 8-12

Role Purpose

Will be responsible for managing R&D function and commissioning research projects to ensure that the company is at the forefront of industry development , and continually improve the product & services.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Strategising

1. Contribute to the development of the PCP's R&D strategy

2. Prepare and manage the annual R&D budget, in alignment ti business strategy.

3. Explore various sources for funding R&D projects.

Policy & Process design, Implementation & review

1. Oversee the design & implementation of all R&D and CI processes and policies

2. Champion new product development through sanctioning and approving proposals, obtaining patents, copyrights and reviewing product development team performance to ensure that customer expectations are met

3. Review progress on continuous improvement projects & initiatives.

4. Review progress of R&D and CI projects and ensure timely completion of MIS reports.

Coordination & Interface

1. Provide scientific guidance and advice to the management committee to enable them to decide priorities and make cost effective decisions

Management of Performance, capability & morale

1. Manage performance of the R&D team, support capability building and ensure that individual / team morale and motivation is positive.

Infrastructure and Technology Investment and Management

1. Encourage & sanction the use of upto date equipment support team in learning about new technology

Technical Skills & Knowledge:-

1.Through understanding of R&D environment, industry best practice & trends.
