Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
- Develop, manage and implement cost reduction project for logistics through operational efficiency, network optimization, other productivity measures along with commercial negotiations to improve processes, optimize cost and deliver superior service level
- Set-up & run the program office to deliver on the plan. Publish dashboards and provide regular reports to the steering committee on individual workstreams, cost savings, and other KPIs
- Define future-ready operating models & processes to ensure continued benefits in logistics category
- Delivered cost savings to set the company up on a profitable growth trajectory
- Built key capabilities across the organization to sustain and extend the learnings from the program
- To study competition, market trends, industry trends, regulatory aspects and macroeconomic parameters specific to logistics and provide periodic inputs to businesses/sectors
- To help businesses/sector in operationalization and implementation of cost reduction strategies
- To work on key projects (such as inbound/outbound transportation network optimization, manpower productivity improvement in warehousing / line feeding / stock yards.) as per business / corporate management requirement and ensure desired deliverables.
- To be the catalyst for new technology trends like TMS / WMS / Optimizer tools
Experience (years):
- Approx. 8-15 years of work experience with large corporates and/or management consulting firms. With experience in driving improvement & cost takeout projects.
- Industry Preferred Large corporates and/or management consulting firms
Qualification:
- MBA from a premier B school + BE/B.Tech / CA

- Deep understanding and Domain knowledge of logistics operation i.e. Inbound (Parts) & Outbound (Finished Vehicles & Spares), Warehousing, In Plant line feeding, stock Yard operations preferably for Auto OEMs

- Understanding of strategic aspects of business.
- Understanding of key logistics trends
