- The DGM/GM-Sales report to the VP-S&M. In time he will directly report to the CEO.
- The entire National Sales Team will report to him.
The Sales responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the Annual Sales Plan including sales, manpower plan, distribution objectives, reporting, BTL activities, costs and margins etc. and agreeing it with top management.
- Periodic reporting of progress (daily / weekly / monthly)
- Achieving agreed sales targets
- Ensuring that cost and margin budgets are met.
- Training, motivation and control of the field force
- Management of distribution infrastructure: Depots/C&FA/Distributors/Retailers
- Implementation and control over BTL activities.
The Marketing responsibilities will include:
- ATL activities for the company-planning and execution of media support which may include TV/ Radio/ Print/ Outdoor and POSM.
- Market Research if required – Nielsen data, ad hoc surveys.
- Planning and execution of collateral materials for BTL activities.
- Packaging development.
- Web and Social Media Development and execution.
- Monitoring and control over marketing expenditure.
Profile:
- The candidate will need to be a seasoned and mature Manager with solid experience in FMCG Sales and some experience in Marketing, both BTL and ATL activities. He should have had experience in more than one region of India. Experience in North India is preferred.
- The ideal candidate should have worked in sales at a Managerial level in packaged foods (Dairy / Biscuits / Beverages / Breakfast Cereals/Snack Foods) with an MNC/well organised Indian Company.Experience in beverages would be an added skill.
- He should be a dynamic go getter with a strong focus on delivering results. He should be able to function effectively on his own in a relatively unstructured environment.
- He should have a minimum of 12 years of sales experience and may be around 37 – 42 years old
- An MBA degree from a good institute is a must for this position
Location: The candidate will be based at New Delhi head office
