DGM/GM - Process - Chemical

We are looking for our clients, a reputed, listed company in Soda Ash/ Pigments are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join the team as a General Manager (GM) or Deputy General Manager (DGM) in the Process Department of Soda Ash Plant located in Dhrangadhra, Gujarat.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in process engineering and manufacturing, with a focus on optimizing production processes, ensuring quality control, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Optimization:

- Lead efforts to continuously optimize and improve the soda ash manufacturing process.

- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction while maintaining product quality.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

2. Quality Control:

- Oversee the quality control processes to ensure that products meet industry standards and customer requirements.

- Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures and certifications.

3. Production Management:

- Manage and supervise the production team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production facilities.

- Develop and execute production plans to meet production targets and customer demand.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and compliant operation.

5. Team Leadership:

- Provide leadership and mentorship to the process departments team members.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the department.

6. Budget and Cost Management:

- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce operational expenses.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and present regular reports on process performance, production metrics, and quality control to senior management.

- Maintain accurate documentation related to processes, procedures, and safety protocols.

8. Project Management:

- Lead process-related projects, including equipment upgrades, maintenance initiatives, and capacity expansions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.

- Proven work experience of 15-25 years in process engineering and management, preferably in the soda ash manufacturing industry.

- Strong understanding of chemical processes, quality control, and safety protocols.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and environmental compliance.

- Project management experience is desirable.
