DGM/General Manager - Finance

Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Oversight:

- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the General Ledger (GL) function, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

- Oversee the entire accounting cycle, including GL entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.

- Implement and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP or IFRS (as applicable).

- Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Controlling) to improve operational efficiencies and data accuracy.

Team Management & Development:

- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

- Delegate tasks effectively, provide clear direction, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to support team growth and development.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

- Collaborate effectively with senior management, providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations.

- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders across the organization, keeping them informed of key financial metrics and performance indicators.

- Address concerns and questions promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent professional designation.

- Minimum 4+years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a leadership capacity.

- Proven expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accruals, Controlling, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial reporting standards.

- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of accounting professionals.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting complexities.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
