DGM - Cost Estimation - Petrochemical/Refinery

The role will be responsible for conceptualizing and driving the Cost strategy for Projects (Surface Facilities)
in line with the Organization vision and Cost philosophy.

The role will help in delivering the Best In Class Cost Model & Strategy for Projects function.

Key responsibilities :

1. To prepare the Project Estimating Plan, and ensure a uniform structure and template for all Project

2. Ensure that Estimates are compiled within the project Work and Cost Breakdown Structure such that the same structure can be utilised for progress and cost reporting / forecasting throughout project life.

3. Prepare Basis of Estimate Reports, and Estimate Fact Sheets / Presentations.

4. Update Cost Estimate information during the Project.

5. Provide Estimates within the Management of Change framework for Project Scope Changes as required.

6. Support the Estimate feedback loop from the Project to Corporate, to provide actual performance data and lessons learned.

7. project set-up including setting up project specific procedures, support in development of the control budgets, co-ordination with the Project Managers,PMO Managers and project planners to ensure consistency in reporting.

8. Identifies cost trends for management attention.

9. Prepares or supervises the preparation of cost studies utilizing historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons.

10. Supports in vendor/subcontractor bid evaluation process and prepares material requisition/subcontract budgets to support procurement/contracts. Participate in vendor discussions as required.

Education :

- B.E.(any discipline) Mandatory

- B.E.(Mechanical) Preferable

Experience :

- Overall 18-22 yrs Mandatory

- Minimum of 12 yrs exp in estimating cost engineering of major development Projects Mandatory

Industry : Downstream(Petrochemical/Refinery)
