Profile Description:

Will be responsible for managing all aspects of our design and creative output. It's a leadership role, with accountability for design output and commercial success of projects handled by the cohort. The person will ensure that the design and creative deliverables are aligned to client expectations and executed within stipulated time and budget. This person plays a pivotal role in driving the success of projects, enhancing brand identity, and creating functional, aesthetically pleasing environments that meet the needs of businesses and their clientele.

What you will be doing:

Project Management: Lead and oversee multiple commercial interior design projects from conception to completion. This includes planning, scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently and within established timelines.

Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate a team of interior designers, architects, project managers, and support staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team meets project objectives and maintains high standards of performance.

Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients as and when the need arises, understanding their business needs, brand identity, and functional requirements for the commercial space. Translate client expectations into actionable

design solutions and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Design Development: Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and functional interior concepts that align with the client's brand image, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements. Oversee the creation of detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications for construction.

Space Planning: Utilize space planning principles to optimize the layout and functionality of commercial spaces. Ensure efficient use of space, circulation flow, and integration of essential amenities to enhance productivity, customer experience, and brand identity.

Material Selection and Procurement: Source and select appropriate materials, furnishings, finishes, and fixtures for commercial projects. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to procure materials within budgetary constraints and project timelines.

Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop project budgets, track expenses, and manage costs throughout the design and construction phases. Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of building codes, accessibility standards, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements relevant to commercial interior design projects. Ensure designs comply with all applicable laws and regulations to mitigate risks and ensure project success.

Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the progress of construction, ensure adherence to design specifications, and maintain quality standards. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to ensure project integrity and client satisfaction.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal team members. Facilitate meetings, presentations, and design reviews to keep

all parties informed and aligned.

Market Research and Trends Analysis: Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in commercial interior design. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in design solutions.

Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other industry professionals to foster repeat business and referrals. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

What you must possess:

- 8+ year's professional experience on commercial and hospitality interiors.

- Track record of delivering outstanding high quality design, leading teams on high profile projects.

- Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong, persuasive communicator with excellent verbal presentation skills and ability to communicate design concepts to clients.

- Process oriented, ambitious out-of-the-box approach with an ability to motivate team members.

- Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.

- Comprehensive and extensive knowledge of materials, costing, GFC details.

- Hands on experience in budgeting and scheduling.

- Entrepreneurial Mindset and understanding of P&L.
