Director -India Head of KYC - Programme and Execution Change
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and scale an Operations Transformation team within India. This will include the creation of centers of excellence for process re-engineering, automation, delivery management and data analytics.
- Define and execute target operating model strategies for key operational processes, including system architecture, process controls and location strategy.
- Actively partner with global functional leads in the development and execution of transformation focused on improving client experience, risk management capabilities and driving efficiency
- Responsibility and accountability to deliver global process change. Ensure change management is completed in a controlled and robust manner, with rigorous, automated testing and including appropriate business resiliency, audit, and regulatory standards.
- Senior contact and escalation point in country for transformation portfolio.
- Lead, motivate and manage a team. Responsible for recruitment, training and development, talent management, staff performance reviews and compensation.
- Prepare and manage the departmental budget, including demand / supply rolling forecasts.
Workstream Design:
- Partner with KYC Ops leadership and business and technology leadership to translate strategy and business outcomes into concrete requirements, design deliverables and work packages.
- Define detailed implementation roadmaps including priorities, milestones, delivery sequence and dependencies.
- Define concrete workstream benefits linked to specific deliverables and milestones, prepare financial and resource plans to deliver work packages. Ensure alignment to KYC Operations goals and implement key performance indicators to measure success.
- Prioritize workstream investments based on agreed criteria (e.g. return on investment, controls remediation, architecture alignment, etc.) and budget and resource constraints.
- Evaluate new workstream demands, prioritize against existing investments, and incorporate into delivery implementation roadmaps.
Project Management:
- Set ongoing priorities for the workstream, driving work in manageable sprints.
- Lead the workstream to deliver specific work packages in the workstream roadmap.
- Allocate workstream budget and resources in line with plans and targets.
- Capture committed benefits linked to achieved deliverables and milestones in the workstream.
- Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigating actions across the workstream.
- Apply data-driven, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive the workstream forward and deliver required outcomes.
- Lead the review and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices across the workstream.
Change Management:
- Define roll-out plans for introducing new processes, controls, data and technology into KYC Operations as well as business and infrastructure function user groups.
- Lead preparations for new/revisions to standard operating procedures, guidelines, and other user training artefacts relevant to planned changes.
- Coordinate / facilitate user communications and training sessions as relevant.
Stakeholder Management:
- Prepare materials to support regular and ad-hoc senior executive communications and regulatory engagement as relevant to the workstream.
- Ensure close collaboration across other programme workstreams. Actively manage stakeholders in business, infrastructure functions and technology as well as with other related workstreams and investment programs e.g., CLT, CBIB F2B, etc.
- Be a visible change leader, well networked and coordinated with all key stakeholders including across the CLT initiative. Act as single point of contact for workstream.
Standards Adherence:
- Ensure workstream adheres to DB change governance standards.
Requirements:
- Extensive working experience in the financial services industry and a clear understanding of key front to back processes, controls, and systems.
- Proven track record managing large scale (i.e., cross divisional / multiple geographies), complex and fast-paced transformation programs across the full lifecycle along with previous experience in Agile transformation/ delivery.
- Significant experience in risk management, effectively identifying and assessing risks within a program/project along with developing and implementing sustainable mitigating actions
- Ability to develop team members by identifying strengths and weaknesses, providing suggestions for improvements, and maintaining a constructive and open feedback culture.
- Support knowledge sharing within the team in conducting coaching and trainings and thus drive for high performance.
- Advanced skills in effective stakeholder management along with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss and face different points of view or disagreements in a constructive manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English across all levels along with the ability to quickly adapt communication styles to different audiences.
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with a focus on economics, business administration, mathematics, (business) informatics (or equivalent).
