This Senior Director role will be based in Bangalore (India) and will directly report directly to Global Head, CB/IB Financial Crime Risk & Controls Monitoring & Assurance (FCR&C M&A). The FCR&C M&A team is considered a Center of Excellence comprised of KYC and FCR SME's, who perform control checks and investigation into Client Behavior Activity Monitoring (CBAM) alerts and 1 LoD KYC & Tax Quality Assurance (QA), providing assurance to stakeholders on the banks compliance to Policy for Corporate Bank (CB), Investment Bank (IB) and Know Your Client (KYC) Operations.

Your key responsibilities

- In close alignment with broader bank strategies on Technology, Data and Innovation, design, define and deliver (in partnership with all management team members), initiatives that provide efficiencies and saves in line with the banks strategies.

- Existing planed growth in 2025/6 will involve establishing and integrating new processes into FCR&C, this role will lead those initiatives.

- Global Governance Head: The output from Quality Assurance and External Monitoring Group and subject to internal and external oversight. A strong governance framework ensures full transparency can be provided across the 3LoD and escalation mechanism are operating effectively.

- Centralized COO / Hiring / Business Management Support: Responsible for ensuring Cost/Headcount Targets are managed and met for the Global Team of c.160 FTE.

- People, Engagement, Culture and Communication: Our mission is to attract, develop and retain world class people, the plan that underpins this mission is owned and driven by this role.

- Identify and appropriate escalate (in line with the firm's risk framework) any risks related to the role responsibilities and ensure timely, effect closure of all risk items once raised.

- Support annual assessment of controls within FCR&C M&A to demonstrate they are operating effectively.

- Communicate all changes relating to operational requirements, which impact on relevant processes and controls, ensuring understanding by the relevant target audiences.

- Identify, analyze and review operational readiness for any change-related activities. Define the requirements e.g. for the standardization of processes/policies, translating the required changes for an operational environment and overview effective implementation.

- Project co-ordination / tracking, feeding reporting mechanisms outside the immediate team.

Your skills and experience

- Experience of managing large portfolios of Operational Technology, MI/Data and/or Innovation technology change initiatives

- Analytical mindset, experience of managing cost targets and driving cost reduction strategies.

- Proven capability managing senior stakeholders (internal/external) across divisions and the 3LoD

- Ability to design effective formal governance mechanisms that will withstand audit and regulatory scrutiny.

- Active participant in People, Culture, Communication, Diversity and Inclusion or other ERG related programs, within or outside the work environment

- Leadership capabilities that can be applied to the immediate team and broader organisation.

- The ability to work utilize your own area of expertise and knowledge to contribute to significant improvements in operational processes and policies
