VP Engineering

We are looking at strengthening our tech foundation, and we are looking for a strong pillar to join and manage a young, dynamic and talented tech team

Responsibilities :

- Develop technical and product vision with founders on 3 exciting products which has already gained traction.

- Develop roadmaps for system and product growth, and then ensure timely execution and quality delivery

- Formulate KRA's and standards of performance for the department.

- Provide technical guidance, career development, mentoring and constructive feedback to team members including engineering managers

- Hands-on management with deep-dive into the details of Software design, implementation and debugging, Software quality and Configuration Management

- Closely monitor and guide product releases and updates

- Ensure software engineering life-cycle best practices are followed

- Proactively identifying architectural weaknesses and recommending appropriate solutions along with team managers

- Attract and retain top engineering talent.

Technical Highlights :

- Current Platforms - Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python, Android, Ajax, JavaScript, Redis, Postgres, Memcache

(We are not stuck to technology! We love to experiment.)

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Love to Code! Can code even in Sleep!!

- B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science or related field and/or 8+ years of work experience.

- 4+ years relevant work experience managing fast-paced and dynamic engineering teams.

- Strong grasp of full stack networking, scalable web back-end, and all genres of platforms technologies (mobile and desktop)

- Extensive experience developing and maintaining complex systems and exposure to multiple

- frameworks/languages like Rails, Python, Perl, Java etc

- Strong interest in Android and iOS app development practices.

- Willingness to try new technological innovation

- Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.

- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate upwards and downwards.
