Treasury Audit: It involves assessing and evaluating the processes, controls, and risks related to an organization's treasury function. This function typically includes managing cash flow, liquidity, investments, borrowing, and financial risk management. The primary objective of Treasury Audit is to ensure that treasury activities are conducted efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Responsibilities may include:
- To perform internal audits of the integrated treasury encompassing all the functions Front office, Middle office, Market Risk, Back office and for all the products including Forex, Derivatives, FIMM, etc participating in internal audit of other central office functions like Enterprise risk management, Basel norms adherence, ICAAP, etc.
Reviewing treasury policies, procedures, and controls.
- Conducting audits of cash management processes, including cash forecasting, bank account management, and cash disbursements.
- Assessing the adequacy of internal controls over treasury activities to mitigate risks such as fraud, errors, and misuse of funds.
- Evaluating the performance of treasury operations against established benchmarks and best practices.
- Providing recommendations for improving treasury processes, controls, and risk management practices.
- Collaborating with other internal audit teams and external auditors as needed.
