Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Statutory and Compliance professional to join our team and take responsibility for ensuring that our clinics cluster adheres to all relevant statutory requirements and industry standards specific to healthcare facilities.
The ideal candidate will: Have a strong background in healthcare compliance and regulatory affairs, with a focus on maintaining a culture of integrity and adherence to guidelines.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including but not limited to:
a. KPME
b. PCPNDT
c. AERB
d. Trade, Shops and Establishment and FASSAI
e. Labor laws
f. Environmental regulations
g. Fire safety regulations.
h. Medical waste management regulations
i. Data privacy regulations
2. Liaise and manage relationships with government authorities, regulatory agencies, external auditors, and other stakeholders involved in compliance matters.
3. Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with internal policies as well as external regulatory requirements.
4. Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
5. Provide training and education to staff members on compliance and statutory related topics to bring out the culture of compliance and adherence to statutory requirements.
6. Ensure timely renewals and filing of the necessary reports with the regulatory bodies from time to time. By maintaining a tracker with visibility to all the stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance issues and develop corrective action plans as needed.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities, audits, and corrective actions.
9. Monitor and review contracts, agreements, and vendor relationships to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
10. Proactively identify potential areas of risk or non-compliance and recommend strategies to mitigate these risks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's / Master's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
- Degree / Diploma / certifications pertaining to Law / Statutory Compliances will be preferred.
2. Proven experience (3-4 years) in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, or a similar role, preferably in a clinic or healthcare setting in Bengaluru.
3. It's an individual contributing role, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to practical scenarios.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
6. Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
7. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
