Deputy Manager/Manager - New Product Development - Food Innovation
Job role with a leading Food major.
Essential: 6-10 years of relevant experience with Hospitality/QSR & Food and retail industry.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Launch new products :
- Assist in identification of areas for product development through market research & market feedback
- Develop consumer insights and clear understanding of eating out need states and occasions
- Launch new products after following rigorous testing and research
- Closely work with R&D, SCM and restaurant operation teams
Build a strong innovation pipeline
- Lead thinking and execution to drive innovation across current and new platforms
- Learn from global successes and adapt for India
- Develop intimate knowledge of consumer behavior and trends through primary research
- Develop pricing strategy and profitability plans for the KFC brand using product innovation
Lead Projects:
- Lead strategic project for the brand from time to time
- Execute against agreed timelines
Skills Required :
- Strong logical and analytical skills; combined with a keen sense of right brain faculties
- Project management and in-market execution
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects and cross functional teams
- Strong understanding and experience of generating insights, understanding consumer behavior and brand positioning and creative execution
- Strong understanding of research techniques
Stake holders:
a) Internal: QA, SCM, Operations, Training, Finance, Consumer Insights
b) External: Packaging vendors, Ingredient vendors, Strategic vendors.
Educational Qualification:
a) Essential: Hotel Management Graduate/ Diploma in food science.
b) Desirable: Post graduate in Marketing from Tier 1/2 Institute.
