Position : Dy. Manager /Manager (Legal)
Reporting : to Company Secretary & Head-Legal
Responsibilities :
- Litigations Management including review & follow up of ongoing cases.
- Review and help update the progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers.
- Review, negotiate, vet, draft all contracts or any other documentations and provide support in assessing legal implications and advising management especially on contract management.
- Provide and interpret legal information, legal updates wrt changes in law etc. and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to Superior.
- Support in review and advising management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
- Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and provide support in advising management for mitigation plans.
- Prepare and obtain periodic compliance reports / certificates from the various department.
- Support in formulation of compliance check-lists on various activities.
- Liaise with relevant departments and provide support in ensuring that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.
- Liaise with the HR department and other departments for legal cases and other legal matters.
- Support in legal advisory services and research & analysis related work;
- Preparing required checklist, reports and MIS on all legal matters
- Support on any other value added activities and/or strategic matters.
Qualification, Experience and attributes as desired :
- LLB
- At least six years of experience ideally in a manufacturing organisation, with good exposure in Litigation management, contract negotiation, drafting and handling above roles;
- Demonstrate success in managing and conducting a variety of litigation matters;
- Good knowledge of applicable laws.
- Knowledge of Gujarati language essential( read,write & speak)
CTC : Rs 8 to 13 lacs
