Job Summary:
- The HSE Manager is responsible for implementing the company's HSE systems on the projects & operations sites and fostering a positive HSE culture on sites.
Roles And Responsibilities:
Financial:
- Be constantly alert for any unsafe conditions, acts & observations and act immediately to rectify them
- Ensure resources are effectively & efficiently utilized
Customer:
- Manage and resolve all safety non-compliances raised by authorities and the site team
Operational:
- Implement & increase safety awareness among employees and contractors through communications as per corporate HSE directives issued from time to time
- Establish and conduct induction & jobsite orientation for every new employee and administer and record their participation in the orientation program
- Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with each contractor to establish safety procedures prior to the contractor's activity on-site
- Establish and conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with contractor representatives and issue minutes of meetings and interface with site staff and each contractor safety representative relating to safety regulations to ensure proper compliance
- Ensure that third-party inspection by the competent authority is carried out for all construction equipment & machineries before first use and at periodic intervals
- Promote a positive health and safety culture on-site
- Implement the project health, safety, and environmental plan
- Ensure the company's management system, risk assessment, procedures and SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement) reflect the requirements of current legislation and standards
- Establish and maintain health and safety registers, checklists, permit-to-work (PTW) and maintain health and safety files and records
- Assess all potential health and safety hazards and risks and communicate to relevant parties for action
- Monitor contractors' activities against SWMSs
- Conduct health and safety inspections and walks on site, communicate actions, and ensure close-out of actions
- Record, report, and investigate safety incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Implement safe work practices and procedures
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety training for personnel at the site
- Assess the contractor and supplier's ability to comply with the project and health and safety requirements
- Compile safety records and statistics for the site and submit a regular report
- Guide site staff in the implementation and adherence to the Health, Safety, and Environment Plan
Essential Skills And Qualifications:
- Should have a minimum of 10 years of safety experience in India or internationally,
