Would prefer : Chartered Accountants - CA 2012/2013   Role purpose :   - Analyse various business inputs to do a health check of the business unit, identify and implement areas which can lead to improvement in financial health of the business unit.   Key accountabilities and decision ownership :   - Responsible for analyzing, slicing and dicing of current and historical business data so that meaningful output is generated for effective decision making.   - Develop business trends, performance and provide deeper insight to Enterprise Leadership team on alternate approaches to address business challenges and suggest areas of improvement and recommend the optimal option backed by robust analysis and business justification.   - Understand and consistently utilize and apply advanced financial modeling, accounting, business and risk management skills. Help with varying levels of advice backed by financial information to each business units and circle to drive the business targets and decision-making process.   - Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the segment / product performance against historical, budgeted and forecasted to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.   - Preparation of Opportunity planning document covering how business currently works (current state) and what improvements can be made (future state). Detail out tangible and financial benefits, options analysed, key findings, recommendation, Costs and Benefits, Risks. Identifies any risks, constraints, shortcomings or limitations of the recommended approach.   - Study telecom industry business trends and provide necessary insight into financial environment across products. Do a competitors performance analysis and bench-marking.   - Responsible for monitoring special offers to improve product efficiency and performance of circles or segment.   - While performing financial modeling, data analysis must work in close coordination with various product managers. Assist them in building Financial and pricing models, evaluate product and offer profitability, maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates for use by the various teams.   - Regularly applies strategies and concepts and draws on a cumulative knowledge base from previous experiences for suggesting an appropriate course of action. Help management with supporting data to formulate strategies to maximize profitability.   - Liaise and engage with cross functional teams and maintain a track of relevant points in the future agenda for cross functional meetings. Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to cross functional teams in order to drive business targets.   - Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them.   - Prepare specific content presentations, document processes and periodic reporting requirements. Generate reports to monitor compliance and execution of actions.   Core competencies, knowledge and experience :   Financial modelling :   - Strong business and organizational skills are required, ability to multi-task, liaise with operational, senior management and finance teams on various aspects of the contract   - Able to apply sound business judgment   - Strong operational & relation building capabilities both internal and external.   - Highly analytical mind-set with strong Microsoft Excel skills for analyzing and reporting data   Must have technical / professional qualifications :   Essential :   - CA/ICWAI with 3-5 years experience   - Knowledge of telecom products especially Mobility and Fixed Line data services   - Proficiency in MS word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
