Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic General Manager (GM) of Counseling to join our team in the Skills Sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical and vocational skills training, coupled with exceptional leadership and counseling skills. As the GM Counseling, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of counseling services within our organization, ensuring high-quality guidance and support to our students and trainees.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement counseling strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

- Lead and mentor a team of counselors to ensure consistent and effective delivery of counseling services.

Counseling Program Management:


- Design, monitor, and evaluate counseling programs tailored to the needs of different skill development programs.


- Collaborate with training and development teams to integrate counseling into training curriculums effectively.

Student/Trainee Support:

- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students/trainees on career planning, skill development, and personal growth.

- Facilitate workshops and seminars on topics such as career exploration, employability skills, and stress management.

Partnership Development:

- Build and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, industry associations, and employers to enhance counseling support and placement opportunities.

- Collaborate with external agencies to access resources and services that benefit counseling initiatives.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Collect and analyze data related to counseling outcomes, student/trainee satisfaction, and program effectiveness.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review and decision-making.

Quality Assurance:

- Develop and implement quality assurance measures to ensure the effectiveness and integrity of counseling services.

- Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, Vocational Guidance, Education, or related field. Ph.D. is a plus.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in counseling, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in the skills development sector.

- Strong knowledge of technical and vocational skills training programs and industry trends.

- Proven track record in developing and implementing counseling strategies that enhance student/trainee success and satisfaction.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students/trainees, faculty, employers, and community partners.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

- Certification or licensure in counseling or related field is desirable.

Additional Information:

Salary- 35 to 40 lacs including 10 PC Variable
