Deputy Manager - Finance & Tax
Responsibilities and Functions:
- Income Tax
- Preparation and filing of accurate tax returns.
- Preparation of details for Assessments conducted by Tax Authorities.
- Vetting of TDS Deductions and deposits regularly.
- Preparation for Income Tax Audits - preparing responses and schedules.
- Preparation and Filing of Form 3CEB (Transfer pricing)
- Preparation for and filing of returns for Professional tax.
- Issuance of Forms 16 and 16A at regular intervals.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning.
- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
- Maintain effective control procedures (including relevant GL Reconciliations) over all aspects of the tax process.
- Communicate the effects of tax law developments to management and the tax team and create relevant strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislations.
- Support with various internal audits and special tax related projects
- GST
- Review and manage timely filing of GST Returns GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-6 and annual Return.
- Manage Input Tax Credit Reconciliations.
- Payment of GST overseeing and ensure timely compliance.
- Represent before the GST department for various GST Matters and coordinate and review details for ongoing assessments.
- Vetting of contract documents for tax efficient structuring of transactions.
- Interacting with external and internal auditors.
- Sharing and updating stakeholders about judicial judgements and changes made in GST law on regular basis.
- Support organization to identify risk areas and provide sustainable solutions by appropriate planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CA/CMA Final qualified
- 7-11 yrs. Post qualification experience in manufacturing industry [Core Taxation (Direct and Indirect taxation) Profile]
- Knowledge of SAP and Tally is mandatory.
- Extensive individual/corporate tax knowledge.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members.
- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
