DM Business Analyst
Looking at candidate into requirement gathering/business analysis/BRD ideally from Regulatory reporting or Finance Transformation or Saving on retirement project experience.
Candidates must have global exposure working in Insurance/Asset management/Investment Banks.
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices
- Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
- Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan etc
- Experience in using company-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required
- Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
- Drive and challenge business on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- This role would entail a mandatory deployment in the UK for a period of 12 - 18 months. Post which, the role would transition into an offshore - onshore model wherein the travel would be as per business requirements.
- It would be preferable to get someone who has prior experience in working with UK stakeholders.
