Job Title: Deputy Manager/ Asst Manager - Procurement

Location: Hosur

Preferred industries: FMCD/ FMCG/ Auto

- 5+ years of experience in Procurement and Vendor development viz as regional/ global management of vendors.


- Ability to manage the full spectrum of purchasing processes including supplier selection and management, price negotiation, purchase order execution, timely delivery, stock optimization, sourcing equipment, goods & services etc

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and Mentor the procurement buyers, ensuring they are aligned with the company's goals and objectives

- Work with senior management to develop procurement strategies that align company objectives in terms of cost reduction, supply base management, quality and delivery time, able to prioritize as per organization needs

- Research and Identify, develop potential suppliers and evaluate them based on quality, price and delivery time. Partner with reliable vendors, work with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments

- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best competitive prices and delivery terms

- Manage the procurement budgets to ensure that purchases are made within budgetary constraints

- Able to monitor and maintain the stock levels of raw materials to ensure that there are no stockouts or excess inventory. Keep a constant check on stock levels and inventory management

- Measuring, tracking & reporting supplier performance to ensure they meet delivery and quality standards, and take corrective actions if any

- Able to Keep up to date with market trends, industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure the company's procurement practices are in line with that of the industry best practices

- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking

- Produce reports and analysis on spending and saving

- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power

- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills - Comprehensive skills in query/reporting tools

- Sustain Compliance audit on the Procurement process to determine the completeness, efficacy as well as accuracy of the purchasing products, materials, and services for their organization

Qualifications and competencies:

- Hands-on experience in SAP. Excellent in MS Excel and Data Management

- Ability to lead and motivate the team towards key metrics like On time in full delivery, YOY Cost saving, Inventory management, Digitalization and Supplier Compliance

- Industry knowledge of Manufacturing or Home textiles or White goods appliances
