Location: Powai, Mumbai

Exp: 10-17 Years

Qualification: BE (Civil) / ME (Structural Design)

Candidate should have experience into Residential / Commercial Projects.

Job Details:-

1. Structural Design & inter-disciplinary coordination

2. Value engineering ,

3. Review Consultant's designs, suggest cost saving options/changes,

4. Coordinate with costing team for budget pupose,

5. Coordinate with site team to ensure their queries are sorted out asap,

6. Prepare boq in-house or review boq prepared by consultant,

7. Review structural DBRs, analysis & design models and drawings submitted by consultants

DGM - Structural Design is a senior-level position in the construction industry. The job holder is responsible for leading a team of structural engineers in the design of residential and commercial projects. The role requires a strong understanding of structural engineering principles, as well as experience in coordinating with other disciplines, such as architecture and construction.

- The job holder is responsible for the overall structural design of projects, as well as coordinating with other disciplines to ensure that the design is integrated and feasible. This includes working with architects to develop the overall concept of the project, as well as with construction engineers to ensure that the design can be built safely and efficiently.

Value engineering:

- The job holder is responsible for identifying and implementing cost-saving measures in the structural design. This may involve using alternative materials or construction methods, or simplifying the design without sacrificing structural integrity.

Reviewing consultant's designs:

- The job holder is responsible for reviewing the designs of external consultants to ensure that they meet the company's standards and requirements. This may also involve suggesting cost-saving options or changes to the design.

Coordinating with costing team for budget purposes:

- The job holder is responsible for working with the costing team to ensure that the structural design meets the budget for the project. This may involve making adjustments to the design or identifying alternative materials or construction methods.

Coordinating with site team to ensure their queries are sorted out ASAP:

- The job holder is responsible for coordinating with the site team to ensure that any queries they have about the structural design are answered promptly. This helps to avoid delays and keep the project on track.

Preparing or reviewing BOQ:

- The job holder is responsible for preparing or reviewing the bill of quantities (BOQ) for the structural design. The BOQ is a detailed list of all the materials and labor required to construct the project.

Reviewing structural DBRs, analysis and design models and drawings:

- The job holder is responsible for reviewing the design build reports (DBRs), analysis and design models, and drawings submitted by external consultants. This ensures that the design meets the company's standards and requirements, and that it is constructible.

In addition to the above duties, the job holder may also be involved in other aspects of the project, such as developing project schedules, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
