Deputy General Manager - MEP


KRA :


- Incumbent will report to All India Projection Execution Head and will be responsible for Delivery and P&L of multiple MEP Projects in North India region. Project Managers of individual projects will report to him.

- Planning and Execution of MEP works of various Commercial, Infrastructure, Industrial and Data Centre projects in North Region of India

- Coordination with client, Design Consultants, PMC and all Internal Functions like Safety, Purchase, Contracts Management, HR, Finance and IT.

- Weekly Project Progress Review of all Projects with Project Managers and Monthly with Client

- Ensuring all statutory compliances and business processes are followed.

- Strict adherence to company code of conduct and values

- Business development for the specific regions

- Fortnightly Updating top management about progress and MIS of the Projects (Including Cost to Complete).

- Billing, Budget Monitoring, Collection and Claim Management.

- Complying to safety and QA/QC at all Projects

- Training and development of subordinates and team building

- IMS, Kaizen & Business Excellence

Job Description:


- Leading the Execution function of MEP (Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting and Plumbing) for various commercial, Infra, industrial and data center projects (End to End Responsibility) for North India Region

- Ensuring Planning and Scheduling for All projects with a micro level 6 Weeks LAP (Look Ahead Plan)

- Site visit to get the complete idea of the project

- Coordinating with clients to understand complete details for the project, Customer expectations and regular Progress Reviews.

- To ensure Project Progress is in line with scheduling by ensuring desired Productivity is achieved through deployment of adequate resources.

- Interaction with Sub contractors, Project Management Team, Clients, Labours, Engineers and Supervisors.

- Preparation of Manpower Histogram, Coordination with Contracts team for deployment of Manpower and Retention of the Labors/Sub contractors (Adequate Productivity, Workfront availability and Ontime Payments)

- Monitoring the Project cost and achieving improvement in Project EBIT through Value Engineering, Execution, PMC cost optimization, etc.

- Ensuring Proper documentation and communication with the client for Claim Management.

- Conducting Weekly Project Review with Project Managers for Project Progress, Engineering Status (TDS & Shop Drawings), MIS, Billing plan, Collection, Material Management, Resource requirement, claims, debits, Amendment/Variation orders, NT items approvals

- Follow up with architects, consultants and PMC in case of any technical issues clarification

- Material management - Stores & Inventory control

- Coordination with customers and contractors for Handing over of projects

- Coordination at backend regarding design, accounts and billing

- Leading a team of Project Incharges and setting goals and targets and arranging resources to them to accomplish the same.

- Achieve the overall project effectiveness for timely completion and with desirable quality and safety standards

- Control on inventory, working capital and outstandings.

- Upgrading knowledge on the technical front

- IMS compliance

- Guiding engineers / subordinates and grooming them for overall development.

- Creating a Kaizen culture amongst team members

Requisite Qualification:

- Essential Dip or Degree in Engg.

- Preferred Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engg. with PMP Certified/ NICMAR PG

Requisite Experience:

- Essential Min 12 yrs for Degree holders

- Min 14 yrs for Diploma holders with relevant experience in MEP Execution

- Preferred Middle East Experience of Project Execution of High Rise Projects/Large Commercial Projects.
