Location : Chennai
Workdays : Monday to Saturday
Reportees : 2 to 4 nos
The Zonal HR Lead - South is a Team Manager role with reporting to VP Sales HRBP. The role serves as a strategic partner to the sales organization, aligning human resources practices with business objectives to drive performance and growth. The role holder through his/her team of HRBPs provides HR expertise in areas such as talent management, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, query resolution etc specifically tailored to the unique needs of the sales team.

Internal: Sales Teams and Business Heads,Corporate HR team
External: Recruitment Agencies and Educational Institutes
Key Responsibilities:
1) Strategic Partnership:
a) Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support the overall business objectives and growth plans.
b) Provide proactive HR support and guidance to the sales team, helping to identify and address people-related challenges and opportunities.
2) Talent Management:
a) Collaborate with sales managers to identify talent needs and implement strategies for talent acquisition, development, and retention.
b) Support the recruitment process for sales roles, including participating in interviews and developing onboarding programs.
c) Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and performance of the sales team.
3) Employee Relations:
a) Act as a trusted advisor to sales employees and managers on HR-related issues, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
b) Manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. 4) Performance Management:
a) Support the performance review process for the sales team, including goal setting, performance feedback, and development planning.
b) Coach sales managers on effective performance management techniques and provide tools and resources to support employee development.
5) Organizational Development:
a) Assist in the design and implementation of organizational changes within the sales team to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
b) Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values and supports employee engagement and motivation.
6) Data Analysis and Reporting:
a) Utilize HR metrics and analytics to provide insights and recommendations to sales leadership on workforce trends, turnover, and other key HR indicators.
b) Prepare and present reports on HR activities and initiatives within the sales organization. 7) HR operations:
a) Maintain HRMS data sanctity and ensure all employee life cycle activities are run in a systematic way.
Requirements:
- Overall 14-18 years of experience in HRBP & HR Generalist roles (Open to candidates from any industry/sector but should have managed sales workforce for 4 to 5 years)
- MBA (full-time)
- Strong understanding of Sales HR practices and principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a demanding environment

Candidate can be from any location but Should have worked either earlier in Chennai for minimum 3 years or should be a localite.
Should have handled more than 800 field sales people.
