The incumbent would have overall responsibility and accountability for the Materials Planning and Logistics area for the business division. Incumbent would need to determine how much and what type of material to hold where in the supply chain which includes: managing inventory control, 3PL- warehouse, distribution and replenishment plans.
- Manage System and Physical control of General & RM stores and Third Party warehouse
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively to ensure Material Planning/ availability objectives are being met
- Ensure complete materials management to strengthen and accelerate throughput by maintain a high service level as per daily production plan
- Ensure performance of suppliers, logistics partners, transportation companies etc and make improvements and cost savings.
- Operational process enhancements-Implementation of QR coding system in stores and other best practices from logistics/auto industries.
- Lead cost control & reduction through effective inventory management
- Oversee and manage inventory integrity and review ways to reduce inventory levels
