Qualifications & Experience:


- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field a Master's degree or relevant certification is preferred.

- Minimum of 19 years of experience in industrial relations and human resources, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the mining, cement or heavy industry sector.

- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining processes, and best practices in industrial relations and HR management.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.

- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on data-driven insights to inform strategy.

- Candidates knowing local language would be preferable.

Location: Odisha Project Site

Position Overview:

- The Company is seeking a highly skilled DGM/GM - Industrial Relations and Human Resources to lead our HR & IR initiatives at the Mining site.


- This role is crucial in fostering a collaborative work environment, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and driving employee engagement and performance.


- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial relations and HR management, particularly in the mining/heavy industry sector.

- In a nut sell, the candidate must have good knowledge and experience in HR, IR, Statutory Laws, PMS, T&D, Labour Laws, Wages & Compensation, Contract Management, Liaisoning with Government Authorities, Redressal of Employee Grievance & Disciplinary Matter, Exposure in dealing with Conciliation meeting under Industrial Dispute Act.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement integrated HR and industrial relations strategies that align with organizational objectives and promote a positive workplace culture.


- Employee Relations: Cultivate effective communication channels between management and employees, addressing grievances, and fostering a collaborative environment.


- Union Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with labor unions, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and maintaining constructive relationships with union representatives.

- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, conducting regular audits and implementing policies that reflect industry best practices.

- Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes and conflicts efficiently, employing negotiation and problem-solving skills to minimize workplace disruptions.

- Talent Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to build a skilled and diverse workforce that meets operational needs.

- Performance Management: Design and implement performance management systems that encourage employee development and align with business goals.

- Training and Development: Identify training needs and create programs to enhance employee

skills, promote career advancement, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

- Workforce Planning: Analyze workforce trends and forecast staffing requirements to ensure optimal resource allocation and operational efficiency.

- Health and Safety: Collaborate with safety teams to promote a culture of health and safety within the workplace.
