Position: Lead Corporate Communications (DGM / GM)

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Specifications:

- Planning/Strategy: Plan communication strategies to strengthen relationships with community, consumer representatives, and other stakeholders.

Key Functional Responsibilities:

- Lead Public Relations & Corporate Communication activities for the organization.

- Partner with other Function Heads / senior management to understand their internal communications requirements and direct the team to meet objectives.

- Align the communication strategy with the corporation's internal communication guidelines.

- Engage with PR firms to prepare and issue statements to external parties (e.g. Government, media, business partners, and other stakeholders, especially during crises).

- Ensure the creation and development of culturally relevant strategic communications plans that contribute to the achievement of short- and long-term brand and consumer strategy objectives.

- Direct the team to use multimedia/formats to create necessary reach and impact on the internal audience.

Brand Advocacy:

- Develop strategic alliances and partnerships with interest groups, trade associations, and universities to advance the issues underpinning the company's initiatives.

- Develop events to facilitate dialogue, communication, and collaboration in support of organizational and initiative goals.

- Oversee the implementation of messages across a variety of platforms and touchpoints, including the website, press, and corporate materials, externally facing staff, HR, etc.

- Govern the effectiveness of media events, shareholder meetings, and associated communication materials.

- Represent the organization at community activities to enhance the organization's community profile.

- Identify and evaluate the risks to the organization's people (clients, staff, management, volunteers), property, finances, goodwill, and image, and implement measures to control risks.

- Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.

People Management:

- Manage and support recruitment, set KRAs for direct reports, monitor overall department KRAs, conduct performance appraisals.

- Oversee team development and drive motivation levels of the team.

- Monitor team welfare, facilitate complaint resolution to manage efficiency levels, and drive timely delivery of all operational targets.
