Job Title - GM/DGM Bulk raw Material

Reports to: AVP - Purchase & Stores

Role:

- Bulk Raw Material Purchase - Preferably Steel Industry Back Ground.

Level / Designation: DGM / GM

Skills and Experience:

- Technical competencies for the role.

1. Experience on Procurement of Bulk Raw Materials for Steel Industry.

2. Thorough knowledge on Metallurgy.

3. Capacity of handling Independently.

4. Co-ordination with Plant team on daily basis and ensure timely and Quality material availability.

5. SAP/ Oracle ERP knowledge / Exposure.

6. Knowledge on E-auction and Import knowledge, Customs procedures.

7. He should have thorough knowledge on present available sources- Domestic and Import.

8. He should be dynamic & updated for forecasting the material availability and trending market prices.

9. He should have knowledge on auction through monitoring committee.

Experience:

1. 15 + years' experience with a back ground of Metallurgical Engineering knowledge & worked for Steel Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Desired Outcome

- Procurement of Bulk Raw Materials like Fe Bearing Materials - Iron Ore, Fines, Mill Scale, Pellets, Sponge Iron, Pig Iron, Scrap, Skull, Ferro Alloys Materials, Fluxes & Coal /Coke etc.

- Cost Reduction & Cost Control Mechanism - Vendor Development & Cataloging.

- Product/Supplier Cost for Analysis purposes - Adherence to laid down Quality norms.

- Working Capital management.

- Inventory Management & Control Techniques - Risk Management.

- Logistics Management.

- Training & Grooming the Team members.

- Coordinate with plant team, supplier and Management for on time finalization with the best price based on production requirement.

- Optimizing Procurement Cost through various strategies.

- Introduction and development of Potential Vendor for all the bulk raw materials.

(Domestic/Import)

- Maintaining Product/Supplier/Cost Database for various analysis and business execution purposes.

- Following Quality norms as per Company/ISO Quality accreditation.

- Close Co-ordination with F&A, Costing Team, PPC/Sales Team, Production Team and monitoring & fine tuning as per business requirement.

- Daily monitoring & Replenishment of Inventory considering various lead times/Shelf Life etc.

- Maintenance of Various MIS /Dash board for the Management.

- Monitoring & Updating the Various risk associated and mitigating the Risks where ever possible. Developing alternate sourcing/adopting alternate strategies for business continuity.

- Handling of Multi-modal transportation (Road/Rail/Air).

- Based on the business requirement & freight bills certification.

- Developing, imparting knowledge and training the team members & succession planning.
