Deputy General Manager - Equity Valuation Control - BFSI

Please find below Job Description for an open position we have Equity Valuation Control at Mumbai Location at DGM Level.

Purpose of the Role:

Valuation Control Service is in charge of providing an independent valuation control across the entire spectrum of financial instruments within the client's sales and trading inventory. Products range from plain vanilla to the most complex structured derivative transactions covering many asset classes like Equities, Commodities, Fixed Income, etc.

The team works closely with the trading desks, risk management and senior Finance management. The position is in Equity asset class of the team.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Monthly price verification to ensure positions are marked correctly in the client's Equity books and records

- Liaising with different internal/external parties to provide a truly professional, independent analysis

- Preparing summaries of review results for senior finance executives and the Trading Desks

- Understanding global financial markets, following upmarket movements and understanding impact on the business

- Project work as required on new systems and functionality enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

- Good understanding of financial markets and Equity products and willingness to learn

- Degree in finance, accounts, economics or another related discipline (e.g. mathematics, physics, Engineering etc.)

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Good knowledge of Excel

Shift Timing: 1.30 pm to 11.30 pm / 4.30 pm to 1.30 am (stretching during month ends)
