The Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Legal will be responsible for managing the company's legal affairs in relation to the automotive industry. This includes providing legal advice across all business functions, managing contracts and dealing with external counsels when required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Legal Advisory & Strategic Counsel: Provide comprehensive legal support to senior management and various departments, including corporate, operations, HR, sales, procurement, and manufacturing, on a wide range of matters related to the automotive manufacturing industry.

- Contract Management: Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements with suppliers, distributors, customers, and other third parties. Ensure that all agreements protect the company's interests, comply with. Contracts like Supply Chain & Procurement Agreements, Supplier agreements, Sales & Distribution agreements, NDAs, JV, Quality Controls & Warranty Agreements

- Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks across the company's operations and work proactively with other departments to mitigate those risks. Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies, particularly in relation to manufacturing, product recalls, safety, and regulatory audits.

- M&A & Corporate Structuring: Assist in legal matters related to mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, or restructuring within the automotive sector. Lead due diligence processes and ensure legal aspects are properly managed.

Qualifications:

- Education: LLB (Mandatory)

- Experience: 8-12 years of post-qualification experience in a Law Firm / in-house legal role, preferably in the automotive, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Experience in handling complex contractual matters

Skills:

- Expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly in procurement, supply chain, and distribution agreements.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership, business teams, and external stakeholders.
