Deputy General Manager/Associate Head - Procurement - Raw Materials Bulk

Total responsibility for sourcing of raw materials (Ferro Moly, Coal, Coke and other Raw Materials) required for an integrated steel Plant consisting of Sponge Iron Plant, Ferro Alloys Plant, SMS Plant & Rolling mill & its logistics management.

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Material Sourcing & Logistics Management:

- Planning for sourcing of all the raw materials like Ferro Moly, Coal, Coke and other Raw Materials from domestic as well as through import mode.

- Planning for cost reduction for sourcing of various raw materials required for an integrated steel plant.

- Planning for cost effective movement of various raw materials from its sources to plant.

- Monitoring & controlling the quality of raw materials procured from various sources.

- Strict control during movement of raw materials from various sources to plant.

- Planning for steps to prevent quality deterioration & quantity loss during movement of raw materials from various sources to plant.

- Should be proficient in dealing with EXIM, Custom, CHA and port related matters.

- Planning & implementation of controlling measures to ensure that sourcing & logistics movement remains within budgeted parameters.

Vendor Management:

- Identification, selection & finalization of suppliers for sourcing of raw materials like Ferro Moly, Coal, Coke and other Raw Materials) Domestic & Imported Scrap, Pig Iron etc.

- Identification, selection & finalization of transporters for movement of raw materials from different locations to plant.

Assessment of vendor delivery performance:

- Evaluate total cost/supply analyses to identify opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership.

- Develop, implement, monitor and report performance measures that demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance.

Products: Raw material bulk purchase- Ferro Moly, Coal & Coke; Mandatory.

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering

Experience: 25 years+

Location: Nagpur

Iron ore: For Blast Furnace & for Sponge Iron Plant.

Fluxes such as lime

Expensive Ferro alloy

Must Have:

1. Have experience procurement like Ferro Moly, Coal, Coke & other Raw Materials required in the Steel industry.

2. Candidates should be proficient in dealing with EXIM, Custom, CHA and port related matters.
