Primary responsibilities:

Planning admissions strategy:

- Collaborating with leadership to formulate strategy, roadmap and annual plan for domestic admissions tailored to different courses and institutions

Preparing a detailed Go-to market strategy:

- Understanding program details, intake and eligibility, define admission targets, identify engagement activities across lead generation, lead engagement and retention stages, digital and traditional marketing channels, and prepare marketing budget

Managing University's marketing and outreach activities:

- Managing all forms of marketing activities to meet leads, applications, and admissions target

- Conducting direct marketing and digital marketing outreach events to increase awareness and brand perception, engaging and informing prospective parents and students about university

- Managing team and ensuring effective handling of leads and conversion of leads to applications

- Overseeing/ participating in development of admissions materials, events, and marketing practices o Working with internal team and external partners to increase engagement across different digital marketing platforms

Strengthening admissions processes:

- Coordinating and collaborating with internal stakeholders involved in admissions, academic departments, and other functions, across institutions/ campuses to understand admission requirements

- Meeting admissions targets and improving seat utilization, improving student diversity, ensuring quality of admissions

Brand management: Promoting values, increasing brand visibility, and maintaining a positive brand image among students and parents

Team and vendor management: Building team capabilities to increase productivity and managing vendor relationships to ensure effective support in admissions, marketing, and branding activities

Stakeholder satisfaction:


- Ensuring prospective student satisfaction with admission related activities and policies

Policy support:


- Creating policies to support admissions in collaboration with leaders and support in adherence to the instituted policies

- Setting up and serving on internal committees to further interests of university and networking with national, international, and corporate bodies

Regulatory compliance for admissions: Creating robust processes and putting in place effective systems to ensure adherence to all professional council and other regulatory requirements

Financial responsibility: Planning, managing, and monitoring marketing budget and ensuring proper utilization of budget

Reporting: Periodically tracking and creating reports on budget utilization, marketing target achievements, and leads and applications parameters

Attributes of applicants:

- Minimum recognized postgraduate qualification in Management Studies, Business Administration, or related fields (preferably in Marketing domain)

- Proven work experience (10+ years) leading admission strategy, teams and processes or similar role

- Experience with large multidisciplinary private universities will be preferred

- Experience of handling different teams (marketing, tele calling) and good network of marketing partners (digital marketing agencies, creative agencies)

- Understanding of statistics, admissions requirements and procedures, and university funding will be beneficial

- Understanding of marketing strategy and channels (lead generation, engagement, and conversion) traditional and digital marketing channels

- Ability to analyze and interpret admissions related data (leads, applications, admissions)

- Strong interpersonal, presentation, networking, and verbal and written communication skills

- Sales and Marketing experience may prove beneficial
