Service line : Market Development - Eminence
Job level : Senior Analyst
Specific skill set required :
- Knowledge of advanced technologies and current business trends.
- Ability to perform rigorous primary and secondary research.
- Hands-on experience of using databases such as Factiva, Hoovers, OneSource, and Thomson; research providers such as Gartner and Forrester; and aptitude for identifying and mastering new data sources quickly.
- Experience in research using academic sources such as ProQuest, Ebscohost, Google Scholar
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working independently and as part of a virtual team
Graduation : Any Graduate
Professional qualification : MBA / Any Post Graduation Degree
Work experience :
- At least four years of work experience in business analysis, strategy consulting, or a technology market research role
Key job responsibilities include the following :
The position provides opportunities to :
- Develop signature perspectives on campaign-related topics such as 3D printing, Internet of things, Future of mobility
- Personally produce and deploy thought leadership through the design and execution of world-class research
- Support the CIR leaders and other thought leaders in Deloitte in the design and execution of their initiatives
- Work with internal eminence producers to align campaign-related efforts, and to cultivate relationships with interested practitioners
- Research solutions, frameworks, and methods to address specific project needs
- Conduct in-depth research on emerging technologies and articulate their impact on sectors, business functions
- Identify trends by tracking news articles and vendor announcements and analyzing investment and market data
- Develop expertise in one or more technology trend area
- Liaison with US and India team members to understand requirements and prioritize work
- Identify potential data sources and weigh alternate sources based on their strengths and weaknesses
- Deliver relevant, accurate, comprehensive research as per quality standards and in a timely manner
- Provide incisive summaries of research findings to guide analysts and save them time
- Deliver internal and external presentations, live and via webcasts, on campaign-related topics
Special skills/professional experience :
- Experience in technology research, business analysis, strategy consulting or IT transformation programs
- Deep subject matter knowledge in at least one of the campaigns (3D printing, IoT, Mobility, etc.), gained through either prior research or work experience
Preferable but not required :
- Ability to organize information in a logical manner to facilitate easy use/retrieval by analysts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Facility with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in research using tools such as Thomson Research, Factiva, and academic sources such as ProQuest, Ebscohost, Google Scholar
- Strong team player, preferably with experience working in virtual teams
- Excellent networking skills
- Ability to forge consensus
