What we do
- Our Valuation team provides consulting and support services to Deloitte members firms- business and intangible valuation practices in performing a diverse nature of the valuation engagements. The team has significant experience in performing valuations of varying complexities for international entities (private and public) of differing sizes operating across a diverse range of industries and stages of development.
- We work as an extension to Deloitte member firms- valuation and corporate finance teams and provide dedicated support throughout the key projects lifecycle (from initial stage of reviewing client information, and preparing queries to building valuation models, performing valuation analysis and drafting key sections of valuation reports).
- Our core services include business valuation, intangible valuation and purchase price allocations, fairness opinions, financial due diligence, audit review support
- We work on international assignments involving cross-border as well as cross-service line teams requiring our people to build wide networks across the global Deloitte network and member firms.
Role

- Quickly developing an understanding of the industry, the business operations and its key drivers.
- Interpreting and analyzing of the financial statements, annual reports, management presentations, business plans, and other publicly available information
- Performing and assisting experienced team members in performing a wide variety of the valuation exercise (including valuation of the company's business, valuation of IP/intangible assets acquired in M&A transactions, goodwill impairment testing, and valuation for deal support/fund raising, financial planning and litigation purposes).
- Preparing quality deliverables (including valuation models and reports) within agreed timeliness, and briefing senior member from team accordingly.
As an Assistant Manager, you will:
- Support Deloitte member firms- (Canadian, UK, Australian, and Middle East) business valuation practice
- Develop valuation models of varying complexities for international entities (private and public) of differing sizes operating across a diverse range of industries and perform valuation analysis, as necessary
- Analyze and interpret financial and accounting data (including financial statement analysis and review of financial projections, and its underlying assumptions, as necessary)
- Perform industry and economic research and draft industry overview sections
- Prepare various key sections of valuation reports, as necessary
- Work in a collaborative team analyzing client issues and recommending solutions
- Liaise with engagement team members in Canada, Australia, UK, Middle East and Europe as required
- Prioritize your objectives and contribute to project execution and timely status reporting

CV's required
In order to be considered for this role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of Valuation services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:
- CA / MBA / CFA (International) / CPA
- Excellent academic track record and credentials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven analytical and systematic problem solving skills
- Knowledge of various valuation techniques and desirable to have experience of undertaking valuation analysis. 1-3 years of relevant valuations work experience will be an asset
- Ability to quickly interpret and review financial models and apply advanced financial analysis and valuation skills
- Working knowledge of Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Factiva, Thomson etc. would be an asset
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic environment
- Strong commitment to professional client service excellence
- High quality interpersonal skills, integrity and credibility
- Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Interest in obtaining international experience
