Role Overview

Dell Global Analytics (DGA) is a captive KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcer) supporting multiple functions such as Pricing, Web Analytics, Supply Chain, Marketing, Quality, Services, Financial Services and Call Center Analytics. Over the last five years DGA has successfully established itself as a highly valued business partner across these functions. DGA supports over 200 internal customers across the globe. The Sr. Business Analyst role is a critical, customer facing role accountable for all aspects of customer management. The role is largely operational and will be responsible for providing business analytics to support product management and sales related activities on a daily basis. This role will be focused on Infrastructure and Cloud Services business unit.

Role Responsibilities

Design, drive and implement analytics based on external market information and internal Dell data to support RTB & CTB (Run / Change the Business) operations of Cloud Services business unit

- Create and maintain various tools (eg Cloud configurator) and models in order to report and facilitate decision making on Cloud biz performance.

- Manage VMs for on demand customers through AWS on demand Reserved Instance usage model. Build reporting and perform necessary analytics to optimise profit pools for Dell

- Understand Cloud market trends & drivers that impact customer profitability

- Work with product managers to deep dive on biz performance; deliver presentations/ assessments of these areas.

- Sales Pipeline analytics on pipeline, win, opportunities, conversion, etc.

- Develop a detailed competitive view through compilation of data from multiple sources including sales/marketing, primary and secondary market research, and mining of internal and external data.

- Project Management: time management, expectations management, stakeholder management, progress tracking and reporting

Requirements

- MBA from a good Management institute preferably with an Engineering background

- Should have worked in roles with exposure to marketing / sales / product/ pricing analytics. Preferably between 2-5 years of overall experience as a technical business analyst.

- Exceedingly proficient in advanced Excel (including Pivot tables, Lookups, Macros, etc) and MS Power Point

- Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and come up with ideas / thoughts for process & business improvement

- Candidate should exhibit the ability to absorb and develop domain knowledge in the Infrastructure Cloud Services industry

- Good communication skills

- Good presentation skills

Preferences

- Exposure to Infrastructure Consulting & Cloud Services

- Past exposure in providing analytical solutions to drive business results

- Experience in VB, SQL, SFDC, Amazon Web Services

- Good academic record
