Dell - Senior Advisor - Product Management

Product Mgmt. Sr. Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity in an area of growing interest for Dell. This role entails worldwide product management of Dell Systems Management Solutions.

- Responsibilities include but not limited to managing entire product lifecycle for Dell's Systems Management product(s):

- Product Management tasks encompass: technology assessment, contact with engineering, customers- needs and requirements, release milestones, demonstrations, business cases, field support

- Market Management tasks encompass: competitive analysis, market research, business models, profitability modeling, pricing, thought leadership, positioning, roll-out process, press/analyst/trade-shows engagements

- Product Manager will support Marketing team with content for promotional communications, sales tools and channel support

- Interfacing and managing relationships with technology partners

- Emphasis on managing virtual environments, advisor tools, and digital licensing for the products

- Presentations to Customers and Partners through C-level audiences

Executing the Phase Review Process through End-Of-Life of products including the following key deliverables :

- Roadmap delivery and updates

- Build MRDs, Business Plans

- Worldwide positioning strategies

- Tracking and reporting metrics to solve business issues and communicate risks/opportunities/plans to Dell's executives

- Long term product strategy including quantitative analysis and product planning

This position requires :

- BSCS or EE degree, MBA strongly preferred.

- 5 years experience in Inbound Product Marketing and Product Management.

- Experience in the area of enterprise systems management and/or software for distributed systems

- A balanced mix of technical and product marketing expertise

- Business acumen, oral and written communication skills.

- Familiarity with cross functional situations and ability to work with Engineering and Marketing teams, as well Customers and Partners.

- Effective communication to Executive Management

- Familiarity with Agile methodology experience a plus
