Senior Advisor - Business Intelligence
- This person will be a part of the team supporting the Global Go-to-market (GTM) Insights and Analytics team for Commercial. The goal of this team is Identifying, defining, analyzing and recommending potential new growth strategies for Dell's Commercial Business. Also, supporting strategic and operational projects from ideation through execution.
- The person will be responsible for using robust data analytics skills and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to evaluate customer segments, Go-To-Market models, analyze sales productivity models and build specific actionable recommendations to improve Dell's GTM. The candidate will have hands-on analytics capabilities and expertise in problem-solving techniques.
Role Responsibilities :
- Drives key strategic initiatives, and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability objectives.
- Collects and analyzes data required for modelling and other project objectives.
- Develops detailed financial models including market sizing, revenue modeling, OPEX and CAPEX estimates.
- Creates forecasting and resource allocation models that include multiple scenarios and provide a user interface with what-if functionality.
- Writes reports, presentations, memos, and other communications and possesses excellent listening, persuasion, presentation and communication skills.
- Works cross-functionally to gain buy-in, support, and assistance for the project goals during and after project lifecycle.
- Tracks and monitors project work plans, including objectives, tasks and time frames to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
- Responds to changing project circumstances and communicates issues to project leadership.
- Establishes internal (sales, marketing, product groups, and finance) to find ideas and potential opportunities.
- Drive deep integration with key program stakeholders, understand business & program objectives, assess impact on metrics,
- Provide appropriate depth of analysis leading to actionable recommendations, identify low-hanging fruit, ideation and development of business impact ideas in conjunction with program managers, inputs for continuous business improvements,
- Contribute to team development - including mentoring of junior team members, knowledge sharing, conducting training sessions etc
- Demonstrated excellence in handling ambiguity, working in multi-disciplinary teams, having a - can-do- attitude and strong desire to learn & development
Academic requirements :
- MBA from a good Management institute preferably with a strong analytical background with at least 6 years- experience OR Engineer from a premier institute with at least 8 years relevant experience as described above, along-with excellent business acumen
- Good academic record.
Skills requirement :
- Statistical and Mathematical Modeling experience
- Proficient with Excel (including Pivot tables, Lookups, Macros, etc), Access, and Power Point required and experience with visualization platforms Tableau, Lumira, Statistica, and MapPoint. Interest in statistical programming including R preferred
- Structured approach and experience in Problem solving/ solution designing
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Team membership of multicultural teams/global teams is an advantage
Experience :
- 7 - 12 years of relevant experience in business analysis and analytics,
- Preference is for Strategy Consulting, Sales Strategy and / or Corporate Strategy.
- Experience in both the analysis of economics of different GTM strategies and ability to use these analytics to make game changing recommendations for Dell
- Project management and facilitation skills required.
