Position summary:
- The Asia-Pacific and Japan Client Peripherals Product Manager role is an exciting opportunity to expand your product, business and management expertise and take a leadership position on management of Dell’s key client accessories business in this critical market.
- This is a highly dynamic role where you will have the opportunity to engage with a range of cross functional teams, working with talented people across the various departments at Dell. You will be highly influential in delivering the optimal business result for the company in the Asia-Pacific region.
- The successful candidate will possess a very high level of business and financial acumen and be able to demonstrate strong command skills, written and verbal both. You will have thrived in a dynamic, fast paced environment where you can be agile and responsive to ever evolving business needs. You will possess a strong ability to influence at working and senior management level, using a combination of your industry experience, analytical understanding of the market and broad knowledge of the business and economic context of the APJ market.
- Your key responsibilities in this role will be developing a winning product offering strategy with a solution centric approach, implementing, and executing winning marketing/Go to market strategies and tactics focused on increasing the market share and revenue/profit contribution of Dell’s range of client system accessories Display products.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
Drive and own Business Results
- Meeting key business objectives for profitable business and market share growth
- Deliver an effective weekly Business Management system with clear agreed action items
Setting Strategy
- Implement a tight and effective client and tablet ecosystem strategy to maximize the value of End User computing systems for Dell
- Provide effective guidance to in-country marketing leadership on business priorities
- Deliver and align an effective quarterly business plan. Drive to meet and exceed all business objectives
- Monitor competitive environment
- Monitor and optimize product revenue and profitability
Own Tablet peripheral Product Launches & End of life
- Work with stakeholders across departments to ensure flawless launch, transition and sustaining of all tablet peripheral products. Clear obstacles to ensure the sales process can flow smoothly across all areas.
- Ensure availability of product documentation, including brochures, Sales Aid, 1-Pager, Benchmarks, Deliver Competitors Comparison, etc
- Own the product training strategy with the broader country product management team
Forecast
- Work with regional finance to develop an insightful and industry guided forecast guidance plan
- Ensure close collaboration with business stakeholders on the forecast plan load
Product Strategy development
- Meet with PG and other key stakeholders
- Review product offering strategy / make calls on product range
- Align with regional colleagues on product strategy
Develop and Deploy via Product Managers effective product training tools
- New products training
- Product positioning / competitive hit-off / Features/benefits
- Product refreshing training
Minimum 8+ years of relevant industry experience with exposure to product marketing / marketing / Brand functions.
