Description

This is a finance controller role supporting $0.5B Global System Integrator (GSI) business for Asia Pacific region. GSI business is a fast growing sector globally and Dell's strategy is to accelerate the growth in this business to capture the upside. This controller will provide commercial finance support to the VP and Regional Directors and their extended teams with a view to delivering the financial metrics; driving growth, improved profitability, and liquidity.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Drive forecast and annual & 3YP plan cycle, liaising with business owners, marketing and services to build business execution plans with the executive team.

- Work with the business leadership team during targeting process ensuring that targets allocated to team meet business objectives using a balanced & fair methodology.

- Support and drive global GSI initiatives within APJ as they apply to the region - as defined by WW teams & Dell Strategy including finance support & leadership for strategic changes programs within region.

- Partner with FP&A COE teams to oversee planning, budgets, outlook, close and direct Opex management., Ensuring all internal deadlines are met; controllable Opex must be within agreed budget. Be an advocate of internal discretionary cost control

- In co-operation with regional channel and finance team, ensure adequate controls are in place in the business and that there are adequate procedures and processes within the organization to maintain a strong control environment.

- Ensure adherence to Governance, SOX & Revenue Recognition policy.

- Develop business cases for key GSI investments and joint initiatives and provide recommendation for APJ

- Partner w/ cross functional teams to drive GSI process optimization including account mapping, reporting and sales compensation automation.

Competitive knowledge

- Intimate knowledge of channel business in APJ

Required Skills & Competencies

- Finance Qualification with superior financial analytical skills and financial acumen

- Controller experience highly desired with a strong preference for previous Channel Commercial Finance experience

- Program and Project Managements skills with heavy Business Controls focus

- Strong drive for results with ability to work under own initiative and with minimum guidance

- Good interpersonal skills with strong leadership capability

- Ability to work remotely and with limited instructions

- Proven capacity to execute efficiently and effectively in a complex, dynamic matrixed environment

- Thorough ability to rapidly assimilate diverse data and make decisions

- Must demonstrate customer focus (internal and external)

- Proficient in MS Office applications
