This person will be a part of the team supporting the Global Go-to-market (GTM) Insights and Analytics team for Commercial. The goal of this team is Identifying, defining, analyzing and recommending potential new growth strategies for Dell's Commercial Business. Also, supporting strategic and operational projects from ideation through execution.
The person will be responsible for using robust data analytics skills and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to evaluate customer segments, Go-To-Market models, analyze sales productivity models and build specific actionable recommendations to improve Dell's GTM. The candidate will have hands-on analytics capabilities and expertise in problem-solving techniques.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop data driven analytics to prove or disprove hypotheses and create new insights using strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.
Support Global Go-To-Market transformation programs and initiatives to assist profitable growth of the commercial business while leveraging excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Perform and partner with data scientists & strategists on complex customer, competitor and internal analysis on both a qualitative (e.g. SWOT analysis) and quantitative basis (e.g. financial modeling).
Translate strategic vision into data/information requirements and transform the data gathered from various sources into an analytical environment.
Optimize existing data structures, processes and procedures to improve productivity and support sustainable delivery of analytics and reports while leveraging the ITIL framework and methodology.
Collects and analyzes data required for modelling and other project objectives.
Creates resource allocation (including sales coverage) models using financial and HR data
Coordinates report production.
Responds to changing project circumstances and communicates issues to project leadership.
Establishes internal (sales, marketing, product groups, and finance) to find ideas and potential opportunities.
Provide appropriate depth of analysis leading to actionable recommendations, identify low-hanging fruit, ideation and development of business impact ideas in conjunction with program managers, inputs for continuous business improvements,
Demonstrated excellence in handling ambiguity, working in multi-disciplinary teams, having a can-do attitude and strong desire to learn & development
Academic requirements and Experience:
MBA from a good Management institute preferably with a strong analytical background with at least 4 years experience OR Engineer from a premier institute with at least 6 years relevant experience business analysis and analytics, along-with excellent business acumen
Good academic record.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
Statistical and Mathematical Modeling experience
Proficient with Excel (including Pivot tables, Lookups, Macros, etc), Access, and Power Point required and experience with visualization platforms Tableau, Lumira, Statistica, and MapPoint
Strong capability with SQL and willingness to become expert with building queries / manipulating data. Interest in statistical programming including R preferred
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Structured approach and experience in Problem solving/ solution designing
