Dell - Business Analysis Advisor - Reporting

Dell is looking for an outstanding Business Intelligence Solution Development Lead to join the Commercial Sales Operations Organization's Business Intelligence Solutions team. The team owns and delivers next generation information reporting and metrics via business intelligence solutions to a diverse community of internal and external customers. Our goal is to turn business decisions into a precise science using efficient methodology and technology.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with other team members and independently to ensure we create and maintain leading edge technologies and techniques for delivering vital information to our customers on some of the company's largest and most complex data sets.

The candidate is needed to drive and implement our long term roadmap to ensure strategy becomes reality. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design and drive development of BI solutions on the latest technologies, provide hands on guidance to developers, have direct involvement in implementation, and guide business on making best use of the solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Manage Dell Channel rebate programs across the Globe as a Project Manager.

- Analyze business and technical requirements, as well as data warehouse data models, to understand global detailed data management.

- Enable BI functionality in tools such as SAP Business Objects / Hana / Explorer, Tableau or - help with technology identification with needed functionality not existing in our ecosystem to fulfil business needs.

- Collaborate on the global data architecture design and planning for the physical structure and implementation of data warehouses and data marts.

- ETL design with technologies such as SSIS, SSRS and SSRS in the MSBI suite.

- Document and standardize data structures, procedures and processes.

- Manage cross-functional relationships with both supporting organizations as well as end users.

- Manage job and activity schedules to promote optimal team performance.

- Guide and mentor developers in building world class BI Solution

Requirements:

- Work experience in projects on Data Warehousing methodologies and concepts, including and not limited to: star schemas, snowflakes, ETL processes, dimensional modeling and reporting tools

- Strong data modeling experience and key understanding of relational database development.

- Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to changes.

- Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.

- Expert with writing SQL queries and working with databases in a large-scale data warehouse environment.

- Attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards is a must.

- Preferred Knowledge and experience in Teradata, SQL Server, SSIS, SAP Hana, MS OLAP, Business Objects

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group,executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
