Business Analysis Advisor- Pricing Analytics
The Business Analysis Advisor role is a critical, internal customer facing role accountable for all aspects of customer management. The role is largely operational and manages product/pricing related activities on a daily basis. The Business Analysis Advisor will be responsible for a particular Line of Business (LOB).
Role Responsibilities :
- Work with segment managers to deep dive on biz performance; deliver presentations/ assessments of these areas.
- Create and maintain various tools and models in order to report and facilitate decision making on biz performance.
- Provide executive decks for updates on projects/ adhocs.
- Partner with regional counterpart in all aspects of pricing/costing and profitability
- Create automated processes for delivery of any regular reporting work.
- Provide Adhoc analysis and any data pulls required to support the segment.
- Own customer interface (communication, delivery, quality, value proposition, escalations); Takes ownership for quality of work deliverables and process adherence with guidance.
- Learns and applies basic knowledge in given functional area
- Resolve ad hoc analysis requests.
Requirements :
- Provide/exhibit advanced domain knowledge
- Provide insights into business performance, identifying areas of deep dive, analyze and suggest improvements to various initiatives in the segment.
- Align to quarterly goals set by the business, regular engagement with biz counterparts to ensure all business/segment requirements are met
- Project managing initiatives by working with other team members.
- Provide guidance to other junior analysts (assists in orienting, training, assigning), thus aid in their development of domain knowledge.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking with problem solving ability
- Strong business acumen, ability to assess impact on business performance
- Excellent articulation / communication (written and verbal)
- Excellent customer handling skills & Effectively handle ambiguous situations
- High adaptability to changing requirements / customers dynamics / work demands
- Should have worked as a Sr. Business analyst / Consultant with a reputed organization, with exposure to pricing / marketing / sales / product analytics. Past experience in any product marketing function will be well appreciated too. Preferably between 6-8 years of overall experience as an Analyst / Consultant
Preferences :
- Past exposure to providing analytical solutions and exposure to key analytical tools
- Knowledge of SQL/SAS/Others or strong ability to conceptualize and develop tools with data analysts
- Past experience in High Tech industries
- MBA from a good Management institute preferably with an Engineering background
- Good academic record
