Delivery Manager - Unix

We have an opportunity for a Delivery manager- Unix for one of our MNC client, which provides IT Services and is one of the world's largest consulting, outsourcing and professional services company.

Job Description: An Industry veteran, deep experience in Server Technologies thought leadership and architecture experience in a Service Delivery organization. The role will involve leading the Unix Delivery with accountability for managing the Unix practice end to end delivery of multiple accounts

Responsibilities

- Practice Development and Management experience

- Experience in working with clients, deal reviews and solutioning

- Handle Delivery for multiple accounts across different Geographies

- Manages people and/or services delivered from a unit via SDM's to the client, ensuring the services are provided to an appropriate quality to meet contractual obligations and that targets are met

- Min 14 years commercial experience in outsourcing and delivery centre services - familiarity with industry & technology trends, cost drivers, & operational best practices. Track record of accomplishment leading organizational transformations

- Exp. supporting sales and/or delivery operations for mid-size to large outsourcing and data centre services transactions

- Explore opportunities to fill all gamut's of Unix Services in New and Existing Client base.

- Focus on project opportunities and transformation initiatives

- Prior exp. in offshore delivery is desired

- Significant virtualization experience is beneficial

- Strong client facing skills needed

- P&L responsibility - Cost Saving Initiatives - Resource management - Utilization of resources - ITIL process definitions and implementation

Technical Skills:

- Knowledge and practical experience of various Server technologies -, Linux, UNIX (AIX, Sun Solaris, HPUX), Virtualization etc..

- Planned and installed various service improvements in delivery.

- Experience in capability build and offerings development.

- Have good understanding on delivery processes and able to identify opportunities for automation and optimization of workload.

- Have good understanding of storage, Network and other infrastructure.

- Have experience in driving automation & Orchestration.

- Effectively applying technical knowledge to pre-sales situations and crafting solutions for clients

- Establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship at multiple levels both internally and with the client

- Providing technical consulting expertise and leadership to internal project teams and clients

- Sharing knowledge and experience through formal and informal knowledge management initiatives

- Self-driven and able to work independently or within a team

- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills (the ability to think logically through a problem)

- Must have the initiative, tenacity and commitment to see problems through to resolution

- Able to respond to and resolve client queries and requests in a timely manner

- Works well in a team

- An ability to work well under pressure

- A flexible approach with - can do- attitude

- Ability to provide clear and concise documentation

- Good 3rd Party Liaison, i.e. Suppliers of Unix products and hardware vendors

- Conducting detailed analysis of technical environments and provide solutions
